Hyderabad: The Congress party has intensified preparations to defeat AIMIM Chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi in his 'home' i.e. Hyderabad. Congress leaders say that Owaisi has proved in the last elections that he is working as a B-team of the BJP. In such a situation, he has also started putting full force to beat Owaisi in his own stronghold. Apart from this, the Congress party has announced to start a strong movement against the ruling TRS government in Telangana.
The Executive Committee of the Minorities Department of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee has decided to intensify the party membership drive in Old Hyderabad, Telangana following the directions of the High Command. Let us tell you that Old Hyderabad is considered to be the impregnable fort of Asaduddin Owaisi's party AIMIM. This decision has been taken by the leaders of the Congress party at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad on Wednesday after extensive deliberations. AICC Minorities Department in charge Farhan Azmi has said that 'There is no doubt that AIMIM is working as a B-team of BJP and Sangh Parivar.'
Continuing his point, he said that, this thing has been proved in many elections including the recently concluded assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh. As a political party, they are free to contest elections from AIMIM anywhere in the country. However, the AIMIM leadership is contesting in select constituencies with the sole intention of polarizing the elections to benefit the BJP. Now we have decided to challenge Owaisi in his own stronghold.
