New Delhi: The Congress has announced the next phase of movements against the Center and the UP government on the Hathras gang rape case and agricultural laws. Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal has written a letter to all the state units in this regard and issued instructions. Under this, on October 25, the Congress will celebrate Women and Dalit Atrocities Day across the country.
Along with this, all the state units of Congress will hold demonstrations at different places in their respective states. On the 31st of October, the party will celebrate 'Farmers Rights Day' in all the states. It is noteworthy that on October 31, the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, the first Home Minister of the country and the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The party has appealed to all the state units to observe 'Satyagraha' and 'Fast' on this day.
Apart from this, instructions have been issued to take signatures of 2 crore farmers by November 7 under the signature campaign so that on 14 November, the memorandum against the new agricultural laws can be submitted to the President with all the signatures. Along with this, orders have been given to all state units to take out tractor rallies from 1 to 10 November. Recently, Rahul Gandhi himself tried to surround the Modi government by holding tractor rallies in Punjab and Haryana for three days.
