NEW DELHI: The Congress party will hold press conferences across the nation tomorrow, 25 January, ahead of the 'Hath se hath jodo yatra' which aims at reaching out to the public with Rahul Gandhi's letter and the failures of the BJP government, sources said.

They added that a total of 22 press conferences would be held to call attention to the BJP's pledges that have not been kept.

As part of its public outreach programme, the Congress has that, starting on January 26, it will deliver a letter written by the former party president to each house along with a charge sheet against the Central government.

Six lakh villages, 2.5 lakh Gram Panchayats, and 10 lakh booths would all be included in the two-month programme. The Congress is reaching out to the public in great numbers with this programme.

Veteran politician Jairam Ramesh explained the purpose of the "hath se hath jodo" initiative, stating that it is to carry forth the political message and party symbol from the Bharat Jodo Yatra. He acknowledged that the organisation is weak in some places, making this a difficult assignment, but he seemed confident that he could complete it.

Meanwhile, the letter written by the Gandhi scion reads as under:- "There is a palpable economic crisis brewing - unemployment among the youth, unbearable price rise, severe farm distress, and a complete corporate capture of the country's wealth."
