New Delhi: The Congress is likely to announce its new Speaker after the end of the current Parliament session. Several senior party leaders have called for early selection of new chairpersons. If the discussions in the party's political corridor are to be seen as a sign, the Congress Working Committee will select the 'interim president' as Rahul Gandhi's successor. With the appointment of an interim president, the party may also decide to elect a full-time president by electing an election.

With these hopes of electing a new president in the party, the political divide over the prospects of the faces of the leadership race has begun. Another new name has been added to the Congress presidential race in the political corridors of the party. Selja's name is clear from the list of probable that the party is also seriously considering the social equations in the selection of a new president.

The eight faces discussed in the party corridors as Rahul Gandhi's successor are from five Dalit communities. Along with Mukal Vasnik and Mallikarjun Kharge, Selja is one of the five faces of the Dalit community who is currently a Rajya Sabha MP. Selja, who was a cabinet minister in the UPA government, has an undisputed image and soft-spoken nature and has a special political capital attached to the Gandhi family. The party is almost without leadership and Harrods is leaving the party.
