Bhopal: A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court against Cabinet Minister Govind Singh Rajput in the Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh. The petition was filed by the Madhya Pradesh Women's Congress General Secretary Dr. Jaya Thakur. Govind Singh Rajput is in charge of the Ministry of Revenue and Transport in the Kamal Nath government. In the petition, she said Govind Singh is a threat to Rajput state.

Jaya Thakur has accused Govind Singh Rajput of illegal mining in his petition. The petitioner said, "Govind Singh is doing illegal mining on my land through his nephew. The petition also said that Minister Govind Singh is not allowing the land to be cordoned off using his clout. The petition sought a ban on illegal mining.

The petition also sought the Supreme Court to lay siege to the land. Minister Govind Singh's nephew Ranjit Singh has also been charged with serious charges in the case. The petition will be heard in the apex court on Friday. The case pertains to illegal mining of black stone in Banda in Sagar district. Govind Singh Rajput was also the President of the Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress and a member of the All India Congress Committee. He was appointed general secretary of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee in 2002.
