Indore: Congress has accused the Indore Municipal Corporation of issuing public information with a decision to impose consumer charges for water tax, sewage, and solid waste transportation services without claim-objection suggestion. The Congress has said that it is not necessary to discuss claims with the elected public representatives of the city even if taking claims, objections, and suggestions from the people of the city about the financial burden being put on the people of the city.
Targeting the Indore Municipal Corporation, Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee State Secretary Rajesh Chouksey, Officer Patel, Spokesperson Amit Kumar Chaurasia said that it seems that elected public representatives have no longer been of any importance in the BJP government. This city and state have become completely under the authority. The livelihood of the people of the state and the city is becoming increasingly difficult due to the unreasonable decisions of the state government. In the Corona epidemic, where the state government is failing, public dissatisfaction is increasing with the same absurd decisions, first the government's U-turn on the festival of Holi and now by the municipal corporation on the financially broken people Taxes will make the lives of the people miserable.
Congress leaders said that many families in the city are unable to pay for their children's school fees, so how will the public pay the new taxes raised by the corporation. An annual tax of twenty thousand rupees per new tax will have to be given to each family. It seems that in the BJP government, the loot system is dominated from the center to the state. In the name of development, there is a direct robbery on people's pockets. Poor and middle-class people will be burdened with the financial burden due to the increased taxes by the Municipal Corporation. The Indore Municipal Corporation has become the recovery center of the Shivraj government. Along with this, Congress has demanded immediate withdrawal of the increased tax, as well as urged the people of the city to unite against the dogma of the Indore Municipal Corporation and strongly oppose the increased taxes and boycott the increased taxes.
