New Delhi: Former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (CJI) and Rajya Sabha member Ranjan Gogoi has given a big statement regarding Prabhu Shriram. Former CJI Gogoi has said that both Lord Ram and the Constitution are supreme. If everyone remembers the constitution in the morning and takes the name of Lord Shriram, then they will be well. Let us tell you that the former Chief Justice had come to attend the camp of the All India Religious Union.

Let us tell you that he had come from Guwahati on Wednesday (February 1) to participate in the Sant Sammelan organized at the Magh Mela camp of Akhil Bhartiya Dharma Sangh as chief guest. He said that the young generation has a big responsibility in the development of the country. They have to complete it honestly, only then the country will be strong. His wife Rupanshi Gogoi was also present with him. Let us tell you that during his tenure, former CJI Gogoi headed the benches which delivered several major verdicts including the sensitive Ayodhya land dispute case. He was nominated to the Rajya Sabha by the government on 16 March 2020. Gogoi had also headed benches that had given verdicts on cases like the Rafale fighter jet deal and the entry of women into the famous Sabarimala temple. 

Let us inform you that, a notification announcing his nomination for Rajya Sabha was issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on March 16, 2020. Gogoi retired as the CJI in November 2019 after a tenure of a little over 13 months. He is the first former Chief Justice of India to be nominated to the Rajya Sabha.
