New Delhi: World Cancer Day is observed every year on 4 February to unite in the fight against cancer. Its basic purpose is to make people aware of cancer. World Cancer Day was first observed in Geneva in Switzerland by the International Cancer Control Association in 1933. Cancer is one such disease in the world in which most people die. It is a fast-spreading disease in our cells.

According to research conducted at a US university, drinking tea, especially black and green tea, reduces the risk of cancer because 'anti-oxidant' elements are found in them.
