Kolkata: The fourth meeting of the opposition INDIA alliance is being held in New Delhi on Tuesday. Amidst this meeting, Left leader from Bengal, Meenakshi Mukherjee, has targeted the Trinamool Congress (TMC). On the question of forming an alliance with TMC, he stated that no alliance is possible with murderers.

Responding to the TMC's leadership statement about making Mamata Banerjee the face of the opposition India alliance, Meenakshi said in Tikagarh that now the camel has come down the mountain. There is no question of an alliance with murderers. This statement from the Left leader comes at a time when the India Alliance meeting is taking place in Delhi, and both the Left Front and Mamata Banerjee are participating. On the old vs. old guard controversy within TMC, Meenakshi remarked that it is like old wine in a new bottle.

Meenakshi had contested the 2021 elections from Nandigram as a Left Front candidate against Mamata Banerjee and BJP's Suvendu Adhikari. The fourth meeting of the India Alliance is being held at Ashoka Hotel in Delhi. Leaders of many opposition parties have arrived in the capital since Monday for this meeting. The first three meetings of this alliance were held in Patna, Bengaluru, and Mumbai, respectively. RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, JDU leader Nitish Kumar, TMC chief Mamata Banerjee, and Delhi Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal have attended this meeting.
