Madhya Pradesh: In a shocking incident, the branch manager of Makdoun District Cooperative Bank, Ujjain, committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope on the third floor of his house last night. Wife, son and daughter-in-law were sleeping in their rooms. When the relatives started looking for him when he was not found in the room at three o'clock in the morning, he was found hanging on the third floor.

He had a suicide note in his hand in which it is written that the MD and the employee tortured him for not colluding with seniors for corruption. Chimanganj police sent the body to the district hospital for PM and seized the suicide note. Antram Singh Kushwaha was posted as a branch manager in Khandelwal Nagar District Co-operative Bank Makdaun.

Son Narendra told that the father was upset for the last 6 months. There was constant pressure by the MD and other employees to give them money by engaging in corruption in the cooperative bank. After getting the information, ASI Devi Lal Maliwad of Chimanganj police station, who reached the spot, said that a one and a half page suicide note has been recovered.
