New Delhi: Coronavirus cases in India are again on the rise. According to the health ministry data, 3,451 new cases of corona have been detected in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of active cases has now reached 20,635. At the same time, 40 people died due to the infection on Sunday. On May 7, 3,805 new cases were reported. This was 7.3% higher than on May 6. On Saturday, 22 people died of the epidemic. Let us know that the rate of patients recovering from corona in the country is 98.74 per cent. At the same time, the weekly positivity rate is 0.83 per cent.

The five states that recorded the maximum number of cases on Saturday were Delhi (1,656), Haryana (582), Kerala (400), Uttar Pradesh (320) and Maharashtra (205). 83.13 per cent of the new cases were reported from these five states, of which 43.52 per cent were attributed to Delhi alone.

Talking about vaccination, so far 193.53 crore doses of vaccine have been administered in the country. The states are now left with more than 18.47 crore vaccine stocks. Children in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered 3.04 crore doses of the vaccine as the first dose. The WHO had released a report on the deaths due to Corona. According to that report, more than 47 lakh people lost their lives due to corona in India. At the same time, the official figure for India is a little over 5 lakh. In such a situation, the Government of India had objected to the WHO report.
