Bhubaneswar: After the furious storm, the Corona virus has started wreaking havoc in Odisha. On Friday, 86 new cases have been reported in the state. Now the total number of infected patients in the state has increased to 1189. Of this, 90 percent are returned workers from outside. Before the workers' return, there were 200 corona infected cases confirmed in the state, but after the return of the workers, the number of patients is increasing rapidly.

Since May 3, more than 3 lakh migrants have returned to Odisha. Migrant workers are returning to Odisha via trains, buses and other vehicles. 15,892 Temporary Medical Centers or Camps have been established in 6798 Gram Panchayats of the state. 7,02,900 beds have been arranged in all these centers. All migrant workers are being kept in the Quarantine Center. According to health department sources, 86 new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours.

Of these, 80 patients were staying in the Quarantine Center, while a case has come up in the Containment Zone. In addition, corona virus has been confirmed in 5 local people. Let us tell you that out of 86 cases, 46 cases have come up in Jajpur district. In this, corona virus has been found in people who came back from 37 West Bengal, 1 Telangana, 2 Tamil Nadu and 4 UAE, 1 Chhattisgarh and 1 Haryana.
