Corona virus has affected many areas in the country. Meanwhile, National Badminton Coach Pullela Gopichand said in his statement that the COVID-19 epidemic has completely ended the livelihood of the country's small coaches and support staff. He further said, 'Most of the big tournaments in the world have been canceled due to Corona, and now it is difficult for them to be back again. But can we leave anything to everyone for whom this was their last chance to compete in the Olympic Games or the World Championship?

If the Tokyo Olympic Games did not take place as an example, it would be an incomplete dream for a capable athlete. A loss that we can never understand. Explaining further, Gopichand said, "More than the top professionals from the Corona epidemic, it is the innumerable coaches and support staff working in small playgrounds, academies, clubs, gyms and swimming pools, who have been most affected by this situation. COVID-19 has taken away their livelihood.

Although Gopichand, along athlete Ashwini Nachappa and Matathi Holastarted a 'Run to Moon' initiative to raise money for India's needy trainers and support staff amid corona crisis. In which many companies assisted him. Around 14000 runners of the world participated in this race. Also, these runners were given a target to cover a distance of 384400 km. This is the same distance between the Earth and the Moon. And on July 21, the runners finished their race by achieving the target.
