New Delhi: The Health Department on Wednesday confirmed 12 more corona infection cases from schools in Noida and Ghaziabad. After this, in the last 72 hours in NCR, the total number of corona infected students and teachers has reached 35. The parents' associations claimed that most of the students tested positive at home after showing symptoms. However, this has not been officially confirmed yet.

A similar case has also emerged from Seth Anandram Jaipuria School in Vasundhara, Ghaziabad, in which offline classes have been suspended till Sunday after parents informed about a Class 10 student being infected. Shalini Nambiar, the school's director and head teacher, has told that, 'I thank the parents who showed promptness in informing us. As a precaution, the school management on Wednesday decided to close the school till April 17. We will assess the situation and take a decision on reopening the school (for offline classes) on Monday.

Let us inform that this is the fourth school in the NCR to shut down campus classes this week after Khaitan (Noida), KR Mangalam and St. Francis (both Ghaziabad) after cases of corona emerged among students as well as teachers.
