New Delhi: The new corona variant 'Omicron' has created an atmosphere of fear around the world, the rising speed of omicrons has added to the government's problem. While the health ministry is in the midst of a round of meetings, PM Modi today convened a meeting of officials on the situation in corona in the country. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has also convened a meeting today. It is expected that after the meeting, they will issue a new guideline for Delhi.

Meanwhile, the total number of patients positive from the omicron variant has now gone up to 247 in the country. Out of these, the highest number of cases have been reported in Maharashtra with 65, Delhi 57, Telangana 24, Rajasthan 22, Karnataka 19, and Haryana the first. On the other hand, 9 cases of Omicron have been reported in Gujarat on Wednesday. A total of 23 cases have been registered in Gujarat. Kerala (24), UP have (2) cases. There are two cases in Andhra Pradesh while one each in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, and Chandigarh.

Meanwhile, 29 children have been found corona positive at Navodaya School in Nadia, West Bengal. All of them are students of class IX and X of the residential school. In Himachal Pradesh, 23 children have been found corona positive in a school in Bilaspur. For the first time in the UK, the number of daily cases of corona infection crossed one lakh in the last 24 hours. The number of patients admitted to the hospital and those infected with the disease has also increased in recent times.
