New Delhi: A new record has also been set on Saturday in cases of corona infection in the country. For the first time in the country, more than 27 thousand cases of coronavirus were reported in a single day and with this, the total number of infections in the country has crossed the 8 lakh mark on Saturday. This is the 8th consecutive day when there have been more than 22,000 cases of coronavirus infection in the country.

According to the information received, according to the updated figures at 8 am, the death toll has increased to more than 22 thousand with the death of 519 people in the last 24 hours. The number of cases in the country increased to 8,20,916 on Saturday, out of which 2,83,407 people are being treated and 5,15,385 people have become infection-free after treatment. In this regard, an official said that about 62.78 percent patients have won the war with this virus.

Out of 519 deaths due to infection in the last 24 hours, 226 people have died in Maharashtra, 64 in Tamil Nadu, 57 in Karnataka, 42 in Delhi, 27 in Uttar Pradesh and 26 in West Bengal. Apart from these 15 people in Andhra Pradesh, 14 in Gujarat, eight in Telangana and 6 in Rajasthan have lost their lives. Five people died in Assam and Jammu and Kashmir, four each in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Punjab, three each in Haryana and Puducherry and two in Chhattisgarh.
