Dehradun: Millions of people of the country are staying indoors as Lakhs are infected with the coronavirus. In view of the increasing cases of corona in Khatima block of Udham Singh Nagar town in Uttarakhand, the district administration has decided to impose a complete lockdown for two days. Except for Khatima, other parts of the city will be free from lockdown.

DM Ranjana Rajguru stated that in view of increasing cases of COVID-19 in Khatima, the SDM had imposed a two-days lockdown. Local people, businessmen and public representatives also requested in this regard. During this time, there will be complete lockdown in Khatima area on August 8, Saturday and August 9, Sunday. There will be no lockdown in other areas of the city. He has urged people to follow social distancing and wear masks.

There will be no lockdown in four cities of the state on Saturday and Sunday. Collectors can make separate arrangements at their level. According to Unlock-2, the order of lockdown of Saturday and Sunday was issued Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar in the previous SOP. After that, it has been relaxed in view of Rakshabandhan. This two-days lockdown can be extended further. All efforts are being made to curb Corona.
