Barwani: Two policemen have been suspended in the Barwani district of Madhya Pradesh. It is alleged that both had brutally beaten a Sikh shopkeeper during the search. Immediately after the incident, the video of the beating went viral on social media. State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has issued orders to investigate the incident as 'inhuman'. Along with this, he ordered both the policemen to be suspended immediately.

According to the victim Prem Singh, they do morning-evening service in the gurudwara, while in the daytime they run a lock-key shop in front of the old police post. They said that on the day of the incident, the police in-charge of Palsud and other policemen started demanding money from them and they threatened and assaulted them for not giving the money. Prem Singh told that his turban was also opened in the scuffle. It appears in the video that Prem Singh's turban is open and the policemen are grabbing his hair and pulling.

The police has told a different story about this case. According to Barwani district Superintendent of Police Nimish Aggarwal, this is a Thursday incident. The police was searching for vehicles. During this, the police stopped Prem Singh, a Sikh youth, for searching. He was intoxicated with alcohol and when he was asked for a license, he started a ruckus. After this, an attempt was made to take him to the police station, and during this time this incident happened.
