On Tuesday, 71 new cases of the epidemic were reported across the state. These include 13 people from a single-family in Faridkot and 2 patients in Fatehgarh Sahib. So far 55 people have died due to coronavirus in the state. In the same time, four policemen and three judges who came in contact with a gambler who was caught in the corridor of New Amardas Nagar, have been quarantined. The police of the CIA staff controlled 11 gamblers and presented them in the court of these judges. Three judges have been quarantined from 8 to 22 June and work has been handed over to other judges in their place.

The people who were present in the court during the appearance of the gamblers found Corona positive, were also quarantined who were present there at the time to appear in their date or case. Along with the judges, his staff and a lawyer have also been quarantined. This order has been issued by the District Sessions Judge. The four police personnel who controlled and interrogated 11 gamblers have also been quarantined. Apart from this, the remaining 10 gamblers have also been quarantined.
