New Delhi: Amid the panic of the rapidly growing coronavirus in many countries of the world, including China and Europe, random testing of corona for passengers of international flights coming to Delhi and Hyderabad airports started today i.e. on Saturday. The authorities have taken this step as part of efforts to prevent the possible spread of infection in the country.

From Saturday, two percent of passengers arriving on every international flight at the airport will be randomly selected and tested. The concerned airline will identify passengers for screening on each flight and passengers will be allowed to leave the airport only after submitting the samples. Thermal screening of all passengers will be done at the airport entrance and those who show symptoms similar to the infection during the investigation will be immediately isolated. An airport official has informed that the screening of passengers coming on international flights started in the morning.

In a tweet in the morning, the Delhi airport said, ''We are ready. Your safety is our priority. Random samples of two percent of passengers arriving on international flights on T3 will be started from 10 am today, no fee will be charged from passengers for testing. The airport authorities urged everyone to cooperate with the staff during the investigation.''
