New Delhi: Once again the cases of corona in the country have started increasing rapidly. In view of this, PM Narendra Modi is going to hold a meeting with the Chief Ministers of all the states on Wednesday (April 27, 2022) to review the situation of corona virus. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and officials associated with his ministry are also expected to attend the meeting through video-conferencing at 12 noon.
It is being told that in this meeting, PM Modi can also request the states to make one more booster dose free of cost to the people of the country. Even before this, PM Modi has held several meetings with the Chief Ministers of the states regarding the situation of Corona in the country. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Tuesday (April 26, 2022), 2483 new cases of corona have been registered in the last 24 hours, which is 2 percent less than yesterday's cases. At the same time, the number of active cases has increased to 15 thousand 636. For the past few days, more than two and a half thousand corona cases were being reported in the country every day.
On Monday, 2541 new cases were registered, while 30 people lost their lives due to corona. Earlier on Sunday, 2593 new corona cases had come and 44 patients died. At the same time, in the midst of increasing cases of corona infection, once again the focus towards vaccination of children has increased. The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) has today approved the emergency use of Bharat Biotech's Covaxin for children in the age group of 6-12 years to prevent the spread of corona virus.
