People waiting outside crematorium for 7 hours to get patient who died of coronavirus cremated

Bengaluru: The death toll of coronavirus is increasing in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The situation here is that for an electric cremation, people have to wait outside in a long line outside the crematorium. Every time at least ten dead bodies can be seen waiting outside the crematorium.

More than a hundred infected people are dying every day in the state due to Coronavirus. Most of these deaths are happening in Bengaluru. These figures are not being shown every day in government statistics. They are being reported later. In many cases, the deaths are reported after a month.

Last 1 week, 39 people have died due to coronavirus in Bengaluru. The relatives of the dead along with the workers, drivers of the Bangalore Municipality awaits outside the crematorium. During the long line, they are seen waiting for  their turn. Cremation of patients who have lost their lives due to coronavirus is being done only in Kengeri, Hebbal, Mahadevapura and Bommanahalli.

These types of facilities are available at twelve places in Bengaluru. Mohammed Ismail of Mercy Mission NGO said: "For the cremation of 1 patient, we have to wait for seven-hour outside the crematorium". Mohammad Ismail further said that the cremation of 1 dead body takes 45 minutes to 1 hour. Only 4 places in the city are alloted for the cremation of people who died of coronavirus.
