New Delhi: Not two but eight new variants of Omicron have been detected amid increasing infection in some states of the country. Yes, and one of these forms has also been found in the capital of the country, which has been investigated by the scientists of INSACOG and the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC). According to the information received recently, this variant has been found in a corona infected patient who recently returned to Delhi from foreign travel. Its genetic structure is completely different from the existing variant, so it has been sent to INSACOG for further investigation from the Delhi side.

In fact, a senior scientist at Insacco has himself confirmed this and said, 'When matched with the current form of the coronavirus and their genetic structure at the international level, it resembles the BA.2.12.1 mutation.'' However, there is no information about its effects on public health. So people don't need to panic at the moment. On the other hand, the Union Health Ministry said that in the last day, 2,380 new cases of corona have been reported and 56 infected patients have died. Yes, and 53 of these old deaths have been reported from the state of Kerala.

The total number of infected patients in the country has increased to 4,30,49,974. A total of 5,22,062 have died so far. With this, a total of 4,25,14,479 infected patients have been cured with the recovery of 1,231 patients. Apart from this, due to the increase in the number of infected patients, active cases have also reached 13,433. Let us tell you that vaccination of children of 5 to 11 years will be started soon in the country. In fact, the Expert Committee of the Drug Controller General of India has recommended approving the emergency use of the Corbevax vaccine.
