Pakistan has reported 577 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. After this, the number of corona epidemic patients in the country has increased to 4,005 by Tuesday. A senior official has warned that the situation can go out of hands.

According to the Ministry of National Health Service, the highest number of cases of coronavirus have been reported in Pakistan's Punjab province and Sindh. Punjab has recorded the highest number of 2,004 cases, followed by 986 in Sindh, 500 in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 211 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 202 in Balochistan, 83 in Islamabad and 19 in POK. It is being said that 54 people have died due to the epidemic, while 429 people have been cured. So far 39,183 people have been tested in the country.

The coronavirus test of 50 prisoners has been done in the most affected Punjab province. Inspector General of Prisons Shahid Baig told PTI that 20 cases have been reported from Camp Jail Lahore and the remaining other jails. Baig told that due to a Pakistani citizen, the virus spread in the jail who was arrested for drug trafficking in Italy last month and handed over to Pakistan.
