An advisory has been issued to stop the spread of the corona virus. The Union Health Ministry has issued this advisory specifically for slums. The ministry says that unauthorized colonies and slums create serious problems as large populations reside in such places. The ministry says that if there is a positive case of corona in any such area, then a containment plan will have to be implemented in which Local representatives and ward members will have to cooperate with health officials.

According to the advisory, local representatives, ward members and influential people of the area have to follow certain rules to protect the residents from corona infection. These include preventing crowds and regular cleaning of common areas such as toilets, water supply sites.

In the advisory, the elderly (60 years or more) have been requested to stay inside the houses. If a family member works as a domestic helper in the neighbourhood, he should request leave for two weeks so that neither the employer nor the employee becomes a victim of corona infection.
