The number of Covid-19 patients is increasing globally. In India, more than 69 thousand new cases of corona have been reported in one day while 977 patients have also died. Here cases of infection have crossed 28 lakhs while the total number of deaths has crossed 53 thousand. To eliminate this disease, the work of making vaccine is going on, but until it comes, medicines are being made effective till then. The use of many types of medicines for the treatment of corona in the country has been approved. Now the well-known pharma company Dr. Reddy Laboratories has also introduced a medicine of Corona. It has offered this medicine in the form of 200 mg tablet.
Different companies are offering different medicines named Favipiravir which are considered effective in the treatment of corona. Dr. Reddy Laboratories has launched its generic version, which is named 'Avigan'. The use of this medicine has been approved by the Drug Controller of India.
According to Dr. Reddy Laboratories, the use of the drug 'Avigan' can be done on patients suffering from mild and moderate coronavirus. The company has entered into a contract with 'Fujifilm Toyama Chemical Company Limited' for manufacture and distribution of this medicine. According to Dr. Reddy Laboratories, the company has launched this drug in the pack of 122 tablets in the market. Its expiry will be for two years. The happiest thing is that the company has talked about providing free home delivery service of this drug in 42 cities of the country.
