On Monday, two more people died due to coronavirus in Punjab. With this, the death toll from this epidemic in the state has increased to 38. Meanwhile, 16 more people have been found corona positive during 24 hours. Due to this, a total of 1980 people have been victims of this in the state so far. Apart from this, with the recovery of 181 more people, the number of people who have defeated this disease in the state has increased to 1547.

For your information, let us tell you that the 35-year-old corona patient who died on Monday in Jalandhar was from Hoshiarpur. He also had kidney disease. He was undergoing treatment at Kidney Hospital in Jalandhar. At the same time, a 50-year-old elderly victim of the epidemic died in Jalandhar itself. He was also a patient of Adharang and was originally from Kapurthala. According to the Health Department, so far 52955 suspected people have been sampled in the state, out of which 48813 samples have been found to be negative. The report of 2162 samples is yet to come. 396 people are being treated in various hospitals of the state, out of which one patient is on oxygen support and another is on ventilator.

Apart from this, 6 positive cases have been registered in Ludhiana, 3 in Hoshiarpur, 2-2 in Jalandhar and Faridkot, 1-1 in Tarn Taran, Gurdaspur and Kapurthala during the last 24 hours. A total of five cases of Tarn Taran, Hoshiarpur and Jalandhar are of people returned from abroad, while 4 cases of Ludhiana and 1 case of Gurdaspur are of people in contact with the victims already. According to the health department, 17 patients from Jalandhar, 62 from Tarn Taran, 3 at Gurdaspur, 2 from Mohali, 3 from Patiala, 26 from Sangrur, 6 from Muktsar, 24 from Fatehgarh Sahib, 5 from Kapurthala, 5 from Kapurthala.
