Uttarakhand: Old man committed suicide in an isolation centre

The relatives of middle-aged Tola Shah, who hanged in the quarantine ward of Uttarakhand Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Sansthan (UIRD), reached outside the post-mortem house. The inconsolable relatives say that they could not speak after quarantining the deceased Tola Shah. On Monday, Tule Shah (56), a resident of Puranpur Pilibhit, committed suicide by hanging on a fan with a sheet in the quarantine ward of UIRD.

Along with this, the deceased was brought to the district hospital from Jamore village in Khatima on 29 March. Late Monday evening when police personnel went to give him food in the room, the door was locked from inside. When the voice did not open the door, the police personnel got a peep inside with a skylight and then they got hanged on the middle table. He immediately informed the police-administration officials about this.

DM Dr Neeraj Khairwal and SSP Barinderjit Singh reached the spot and inquired about the case. Along with this, information was given to the relatives and relatives of the deceased. Late night, brother-in-law Mehboob Shah and other relatives of the deceased reached here. The police conducted a post-mortem of the body. With this, 38 people are now left in the Quarantine Center at UIRD. A young man has already expressed his trouble in social media. A case is registered against him in Kotwali.
