Due to the crisis of Corona epidemic in Uttar Pradesh, there has been a lot of turmoil. Due to which the Yogi government is taking all possible effective steps. Due to the coronavirus infection, more than 1.65 crore laborers in rural and urban areas affected by the lockdown will start distributing free rations on Wednesday i.e. April 1 by the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh.

The economic and commercial activities have come to a standstill due to the announced lockdown to prevent corona infection. This has led to a crisis of livelihood in front of the working class. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the state government will provide free food grains to laborers falling under the Antyodaya scheme and MNREGA, construction workers registered in the labor department and ration card holders of urban areas. In this sequence, free food grains will be distributed to the laborers on behalf of the state government from Wednesday. The remaining card holders will be given 3 rupees per kg of rice and 2 rupees per kg of wheat as before.

From the central government, all ration card holders will be given free food grains from April 15. In this way food grains will be distributed twice every month for the next three months. As before the first date of every month, 5 kilograms of free food grains will be distributed per unit and on the 15th. The District Magistrates have been instructed not to collect more than five beneficiaries during the distribution of food grains and they should maintain social distancing among themselves. A sanitizer or soap and water will be provided to clean the hands of every laborer during the distribution of food grains.
