New Delhi: Countdown has already begun for Shabnam's death warrant. During this time the murderer has once again demanded mercy from the governor. Shabnam, who killed 7 members of the family along with lover Salim on 14/15 April 2008 at Bawankhedi in Amroha district, has now prepared another mercy petition from the Governor. In the hope of sending it to the Governor, this application has been submitted to the Jail Superintendent of Rampur.

On Thursday, two advocates of Shabnam met the Jail Superintendent of Rampur and submitted an application for mercy petition addressed to the Governor. In which her death sentence has been requested to be waived. Jail Superintendent PD Salonia said that there were two advocates who had submitted the application. The application is to be sent to the Governor. The jail superintendent said this was Shabnam's second attempt of mercy from the governor. Earlier her mercy petition has been dismissed from the level of Governor.

Rampur jailer RK Verma has said that Shabnam will be sent to Mathura jail as soon as death warrant is issued. He said that a death warrant has been sought from the district judge of Amroha. Shabnam is about to be sent to Mathura jail as soon as it is received. There is a system of hanging women in UP in Mathura. As for this, he further said, 'At present, Shabnam's behaviour in jail is normal. She is placed in the female Barrick number 14 of Rampur Jail.'
