Court of Pakistan kind to Imran Khan, granted bail in 8 cases

Islamabad: Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan has been granted bail by an anti-terrorism court in Islamabad in 8 cases related to violence in the judicial complex. On the other hand, an accountability court in Islamabad on Tuesday (May 23) restrained the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from arresting Imran Khan's wife Bushra Bibi in the Al-Qadir Trust case and granted her interim bail till May 31. According to reports, the court of Pakistan has approved this bail on a security bond of Rs 5 lakh.

According to Pakistan's famous newspaper 'Dawn', Bushra Bibi had requested the court to exempt her from NAB arrest as well. At the same time, Imran Khan has been granted bail till June 8. She will also appear in court later in the Al-Qadir Trust case. Bushra Bibi's case was heard in the court of Judge Muhammad Basheer. Her lawyer Khwaja Harris filed an application for interim bail for Imran's wife Bushra Bibi. 

During the hearing, Harris told the court that Bushra Bibi had not received any notice from the anti-corruption body. On this, the court approved the bail application till May 31 and issued a notice to NAB seeking its reply. Along with this, Judge Bashir also directed Imran's wife to furnish a surety of Rs 5 lakh.
