Massive work is being done to place standard treatment protocols for Covid-19 patients across all the government hospitals in Telangana. As per the sources, it has been learned that there would be clearly defined as standardized treatment protocols of treating mild, moderate and severe Covid-19 positive patients across all government health care institutions. State Health Minister, Eatala Rajender said, "Clear guidelines are needed on when life-saving drugs including anti-virals, steroids and experimental therapies will be administered to the Covid-19 patients."

To implement such a standardized way of treating COVID patients, the State health department organized a webinar for all superintendents of government hospitals in which senior doctors from this field presented detailed guidelines to treat Covid-19 patients, which were framed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), New Delhi.

The senior doctors in the presence of Rajender interacted with the superintendents and discussed the classification of Covid-19 patients depending on their medical conditions. State Health Minister, Eatala Rajender also visited Gandhi Hospital on Monday and held detailed discussions on ways to improve quality of health care services with heads of various medical departments. Along with senior doctors including infectious diseases specialist from United States, Dr Vijay V Yeldandi, the Health Minister interacted with senior doctors at Gandhi Hospital for several hours.
