New DelhI; As per data released on Friday by the Union Health Ministry, India's total tally of COVID-19 cases grew to 4,30,25,775, while active cases fell to 13,672. The death toll rose to 5,21,181 with 52 new deaths, according to figures updated at 8 a.m.

The accounts shows, the active cases account for 0.03 percent of total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate remains at 98.76 percent. Over the course of 24 hours, the active COVID-19 caseload was reduced by 635 cases. The daily positivity rate was 0.22 percent and the weekly positivity rate was 0.23 percent.

The number of persons who have recovered from the sickness has risen to 4,24,90,922, with a 1.21 percent case fatality rate. The total number of doses given out in the country as part of the statewide COVID-19 vaccination effort has surpassed 184.31 crore. Last year, the country passed the two-crore mark on May 4 and the three-crore mark on June 23. Kerala accounts for 48 of the 52 new fatalities. 

So far, 5,21,181 deaths have been reported across the country, with 1,47,783 deaths in Maharashtra, 67,913 deaths in Kerala, 40,054 deaths in Karnataka, 38,025 deaths in Tamil Nadu, 26,152 deaths in Delhi, 23,495 deaths in Uttar Pradesh, and 21,197 deaths in West Bengal.
