New Delhi: India has seen 11,850 new cases of the COVID-19, with 555 deaths In the last 24 hours. According to data released on Saturday by the Union Health Ministry, the country experienced a total of 12,403 discharges in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recovery rate to roughly 98.26 percent, the highest since March 2020, and total recoveries data to 3,38,26,483. According to ministry data, the number of current COVID-19 cases in India has dropped to 1,36,308, which is marked as (the lowest in 274 days. The country's total death toll today stands at 4,63,245. The first death from the COVID epidemic was recorded in India in March 2020.

Meanwhile, on Friday, Kerala recorded 6,674 additional positive cases and 59 COVID-19-related deaths, bringing the total number of people afflicted in the state to 50,48,756 and the death toll to 35,511. In the previous 24 hours, the state health department has analysed 65,147 samples, and there are 46 wards across 39 local self-government bodies with a weekly infection population ratio of more than 10 percent.

Ernakulam had the largest number of cases (1,088) in the state, followed by Thiruvananthapuram (967) and Thrissur (727). In the state, there are currently 68,805 active COVID-19 cases, with only 6.7 percent admitted to hospitals, according to the health department.
