Aizawl: According to the Health Department, the COVID-19 cases in Mizoram have increased to 1,26,917. And the death toll is 456, as a new death has been reported after 5 pm on Wednesday. 531 were recorded on Thursday, which was 6 more than the previous day. The one-day positivity rate was increased to 11.11 per cent from the previous day's 10.69 per cent as new cases were detected from 4,780 sample tests.

He said at least 119 of the newly infected are children. He said three patients had a travel history, while 528 people had contracted the disease locally. The number of active cases now stands at 5,939, while 371 people have been cured as on Wednesday, taking the total number of cured cases to 1,20,522.

The recovery rate among COVID-19 patients is 94.96 percent and the mortality rate is 0.35 percent. According to the State Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (IDSP), over 13.60 lakh samples have been tested for COVID-19 so far. According to State Immunization Officer Dr. Laljavmi, more than 7 lakh people have been vaccinated till November 10, out of which 5.29 lakh people have received the full dose.
