As per the release by the of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday, India reported 13,058 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest in 231 days,. With this, the Indian active caseload stands at 1,83,118, which is also the lowest in 227 days. According to the health ministry, the country has so far tested 59.31 crore total samples for COVID-29.

India’s active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases and it is lowest since March 2020 which is currently at 0.54 per cent. The country's recovery rate is highest since the beginning of the pandemic and is currently at 98.14 per cent. Meanwhile, 98.67 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive. 

Global Corona Overview: according to the Johns Hopkins University. The global Covid-19 caseload has topped 241 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 4.90 million and vaccinations soared to over 6.61 billion. In its latest update on Tuesday morning, the University's Center for Systems Science and Engineering revealed that the current global caseload, death toll and the total number of vaccine doses administered stood at 241,098,699, 4,904,877 and 6,617,433,262, respectively.
