NEW DELHI: India reported 20,044 Covid cases in the past 24 hours, a minimal increase against last day's 20,038 count, Union Health Ministry data showed on Saturday.

In the corresponding period, 56 death took the nationwide death toll to 5,25,660. Meanwhile, the active caseload has also scaled up to 1,40,760 cases, registering for 0.32 percent of the total positive cases. The Daily Positivity rate has also marginally rose to 4.80 percent, while the Weekly Positivity rate stands at 4.40 percent.

The total number of patients who have recovered in the past 24 hours is 18,301, bringing the total to 4,30,63,651. With this, the recovery rate is currently 98.48 percent.

As of Saturday morning, the Covid-19 vaccination coverage reportedly exceeded 199.71 crore, through  2,62,86,177 sessions.

More than 3.79 crore adolescents have been administered a first dose of Covid-19 vaccination since the start of the vaccination drive for this age bracket.
