India reported 1,225 new COVID cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
With the addition of the additional cases, the active caseload now stands at 14,307, or 0.03 percent of the total positive cases in the country. In the meantime, 1,594 patients have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, bringing the overall number of patients who have recovered to 4,24,89,004. The recovery rate is currently at 98.76 percent.
The positivity rate is 0.20 percent, based on 6,07,987 tests completed in the last 24 hours. So far, 78.91 crore COVID tests have been carried out in the country.
According to preliminary statistics, India's COVID immunisation coverage has surpassed 184.06 crore as of 7 a.m. today.COVID vaccination for children aged 12 to 14 years old began on March 16, 2022. More than 1.60 crore adolescents have received their first dose of COVID immunisation so far.
