New Delhi: Today, 7,447 new cases of coronavirus have been reported from across the country, after which the total number of corona patients has now gone up to 3,47,26,049 in India. The death toll due to infection has reached 4,76,869 after the death of 391 patients over the past 24 hours. The Union Health Ministry said that the number of active patients of corona infection in the country has now come down to 86,000.

The Health Ministry reported that 7,886 patients have also recovered from infections across the country in the last 24 hours, followed by corona recovery to 3,41,62,765. The active cases figure is currently 86,415, which is 0.25 percent of the total cases. This is the lowest number of active cases since March 2020. On the other hand, the daily positivity rate is 0.59 per cent, which is less than 2 per cent for the last 74 days. While the weekly positivity rate is 0.63 percent, which has remained below 1 percent for 33 days.

According to the ministry, the recovery rate in the country is now 98.38 percent. Meanwhile, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that 12,59,932 samples were tested for corona infection in India on Thursday, after which the number of sample testing in the country has now increased to 66,15,07,694. On the other hand, when it comes to corona vaccination data, more than 135.99 crore doses of corona vaccine have been given in India so far. More than 70,46,805 lakh people were given vaccine doses across the country on Thursday. According to the official report, the total immunization figure in India has now gone up to 1,35,99,96,267.
