New Delhi: The coronavirus is once again gaining momentum in the country. In view of the increasing number of corona-infected patients daily, all the health workers in the country are set to be given a booster dose of vaccine. According to media reports, the Central Government is likely to take a decision on the matter soon.

According to a report, a joint study by scientists from several countries has revealed that even after taking both doses of corona vaccine, many health workers are suffering from an infection due to delta variant. Though research has said that any health worker who is being exposed to the virus is not showing serious symptoms, he has to go into isolation.

The director of the IGIB, Dr. According to Anurag Agarwal, a booster dose is required to be introduced to prevent any possible shortage of health workers in the wake of rising corona cases. A senior health ministry official said that due to low expert study on booster dose, a team of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is now working on it. A member of the National Technical Advisory Committee on Vaccines said that preparations are underway to provide a booster dose of Covishild and Covaxin to health workers.
