New Delhi: According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in New Delhi, India reported 1,41,986 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the country's daily positive rate to 9.28 percent.With this, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has increased to 3,53,68,372.
According to the Ministry of Health, the country has reported 3,071 cases of Omicron, with 1,203 recovered. Maharashtra has the most Omicron cases (876), followed by Delhi (513), and Karnataka (333).
India's active caseload is at 4,72,169, according to the Ministry. It accounts for 1.34 percent of all cases in the country. The daily positivity rate is 9.28 percent, while the weekly positivity rate is 5.66 percent. With the recovery of 40,895 patients in the last 24 hours, the total number of COVID patients recovered since the outbreak began currently stands at 3,44,12,740. The current rate of recovery is 97.30 percent.
In the previous 24 hours, the government has reported 285 more fatalities, bringing the total death toll to 4,83,463. According to data from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), India conducted 15,29,948 COVID-19 tests in the last 24 hours, for a total of 68,84,70,959 testing so far. So far, the Nationwide Vaccination Drive has provided 150.06 crore vaccine doses in India.
