New Delhi: Rising corona cases in India seem to be knocking on the third wave. On the other hand, its new variant Omicron has multiplied the corona crisis, causing a lot of trouble to the government. The government is continuously issuing guidelines to deal with the rising cases of the corona. Another big decision has been taken in this episode. The government has made 7-day home isolation necessary for all international travellers coming from abroad in view of the increasing cases of the corona. That is, if any international passenger comes to India, he has to stay in 7-day home isolation first.

According to reports, these persons will undergo RT PCR test on the 8th day after 7 days in home isolation. An order issued by the government said that the new standard operating procedure will be in force from January 11 till further orders. In fact, most of the corona cases that are being reported are those who have recently returned from foreign travel. The move has been taken by the government to put brakes on corona cases.

As per the same order issued, all persons planning to travel to India will first have to furnish complete and factual details in the self-declaration form on the online air facility portal. Also, a corona negative RTPCR report has to be uploaded within 72 hours of starting the journey. In addition, individuals who need tests on arrival in India will also have to pre-book the test online on the portal.
