New Delhi: Today , MS Dhoni, a former captain of India, turns 42. The renowned wicketkeeper-batter started his international cricket career in 2004, but unlike other players, he was able to win over the hearts of the public. Dhoni led India to greater heights over his 15-year career, with three ICC trophies—the T20 World Cup in 2007, the 50-over World Cup in 2011, and the Champions Trophy in 2013—highlighting his career.
Despite his retirement from international cricket, he still keeps the Indian Premier League (IPL) audience entertained. Dhoni and Rohit Sharma are the most successful captains in IPL history, each having won five championships.
The renowned wicketkeeper, affectionately known as the "Thala" by his Chennai supporters, is the least active cricketer on social media, but his followers aren't. As Dhoni celebrated his 42nd birthday today, his admirers and members of the cricket community created touching social media posts.
