India will host the One-Day World Cup of cricket from October to November. A preliminary match schedule has been created by the BCCI and sent to the ICC. The draught states that the competition will start on October 5 in Ahmedabad. England and New Zealand will play in the opening game. India's opening game will take place on October 8 in Chennai against Australia. On October 15, India and Pakistan will play the biggest match of the tournament. The game will be played at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, which can accommodate a thousand spectators. On November 19, the World Cup championship game will take place in Ahmedabad.

According to the cricket website ESPNCRICINFO, the ICC has sent this draught schedule to all of the World Cup-playing teams. The final schedule will be made public the following week after considering their feedback.

Pakistan will play its league matches in five cities.

Five Indian cities will host Pakistan's matches. On October 20, the Pakistani team will play Australia in Bengaluru; on October 23, Afghanistan in Chennai; and on October 27, South Africa in the same city. On October 31 in Kolkata, they will play Bangladesh, and on November 5 in Bengaluru, they will play New Zealand. On November 12 in Kolkata, there will be one final league game against England.

BCCI is late on schedule, and ticket information is also not revealed.

A year ago, the schedule for the One Day World Cups in 2015 and 2019 was made public. The 2023 World Cup schedule is still being finalised. The start of the tournament is less than four months away. Jay Shah, the secretary of the BCCI, stated on May 27 that the World Test Championship would be the time for the World Cup schedule to be announced. The ICC has not been able to provide the specifics of the tickets for the World Cup games as a result of the schedule's delay.

If Pakistan's request for the Asia Cup is approved, the team won't impose any conditions on participating in the World Cup.

The Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) application for the Asia Cup may be approved by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). The PCB has suggested that all of India's matches be played in Sri Lanka and the remaining matches be played in Pakistan, according to the news agency PTI. On Tuesday, June 13, the ACC may make a formal announcement regarding the Asia Cup. After that, Pakistan's World Cup match in India will also have a clear start.

CEO Geoff Allardice and Chairman Greg Barclay met PCB Chairman Najam Sethi in Karachi, according to an ACC member. It was made clear at this meeting that Pakistan would not place any restrictions on its participation in the World Cup because all four of the tournament's matches would take place there.
