NEW DELHI: The second season of Legends League Cricket attracted more than 16 million unique viewers on digital streaming services in India, and its online presence attracted more than 600 million followers worldwide.

The season's opening match between India Maharajas and World Giants, played at Eden Gardens with the best players in the world participating, received higher ratings than any other ongoing cricket league in the nation, according to the most recent Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) TV ratings. Also, it is five times higher than the ratings for the entire previous season of Cricket in the Legends league.

It's incredible to see such high numbers. We all know that Star Sports, which is the largest sports platform and the premium broadcaster, has helped us reach a broader audience, and our T20 tournament has the second-highest viewership in India, behind the IPL. We surpass all current cricket leagues and events, with the exception of Indian Cricket.

"This season, the responses from the fans have been overwhelmingly positive, reflecting the Legends League Cricket's rising popularity. According to Raman Raheja, co-founder and CEO of Legends League Cricket, we anticipate the ratings of upcoming games and hope they keep rising.

The inaugural Legends League Cricket tournament to be held in India has been aired throughout the US, Australia, and the Indian continent. While the league's official broadcast and streaming partners in India and the subcontinent are Star Sports, Disney+Hotstar, and Fancode, Willow TV and Kayo Sports, Fox Cricket are the league's sole broadcast and streaming partners in the US and Australia, respectively.

Manay international cricketing legends, including Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Chris Gayle, Mitchell Johnson, Jacques Kallis, and Muttiah Muralitharan, have been taking part in the current season of Legends League Cricket.
