New Delhi : An encounter between police and miscreants occurred in Delhi late Friday. The driver of the car opened fire on him after being stopped by the police. In response to this, the police also opened fire due to which a person sitting in the car was injured. The accused car driver Sonu alias Mohan escaped after the siege was stopped on Lodhi Road. Two cartridges and cartridges have been seized from the car. South District DCP Atul Kumar Thakur said that the person injured by the bullet, Yameen, has been admitted to the trauma center of AIIMS.

Police personnel posted at the Defense Colony police station were informed that a car from Tigri was going to Sonipat via Defense Colony. It may contain weapons.

Police started checking before Moolchand flyover coming from Chirag Delhi near Defense Colony police station. When the car passed from there, a gesture was made to stop the driver, but the driver, while trying to park the car on the policemen, hit the barricading and ran away with the car. On being chased by policemen, the driver drove the car away. Then he fired on the police and in response the police also fired in which a person was injured.
