Ranchi: Four persons have been arrested for allegedly entering a plus two high school in Jharkhand's Oramanjhi area and threatening Hindu girl students and brandishing weapons inside the school premises, police said on Saturday. Ranchi Superintendent of Police (SP) Naushad Alam has informed that four boys have been arrested for threatening and molesting school girls in the Oramanjhi area of rural Ranchi. However, the search for the fifth accused is underway.
According to reports, the arrested accused have been identified as Muzammil Ansari, Firdous Ansari, Jamil Ansari and Taufiq Ansari. At the same time, the fifth accused Suhail is absconding, the police are searching for him. It is being told that the arrested boys have also confessed to their crime. During the investigation, the police came to know that these accused used to come to the school by scaling the wall and teasing the students. They also threatened for stopping. Earlier on Sunday, it was reported that some Muslim youths entered the government school in Ranchi's school and threatened the class 9 student that either make friends or they would pick her up. According to the complaint of the students, these youths used to tell the girls that if they were not heard, the consequences would be bad.
The students had given a complaint in this regard on September 10, after which five accused were named in this case. The students had said in their complaint that these acts have been happening to them for almost a week. The accused sit on the rooftops of the school and molest the girls commuting. However, it is also worth noting here that, the girls have been harassed for a week, why did the school management not take any action at that time? The complaint that the school management should have lodged had to be made by the girls. The victim students have told that the target of the youth is especially tribal and Hindu girls. Whenever someone speaks in favour of these students, the boys threaten him with consequences too. Whether it is a student or a teacher.
The victim students and their families have given a complaint to the police station stating that a few days ago on Teacher's Day, all these youths had overturned the generator installed in the school. The SIT was formed after taking cognizance of the complaint of schoolgirls. The team included SI and the inspector. The team extracted footage from the CCTV camera of the school and nabbed the accused on the basis of their mobile location. Investigations have revealed that the men had threatened to kill school clerk Ashish Mahato and had threatened to take away the students at gunpoint. Later, Ashish Mahato had given a complaint in this regard, explaining how these boys had pointed a pistol at him. At the same time, the school administration was also unable to do anything out of fear.
