Concerned over the contagion of more than 400 paramilitary forces between the corona infection and lockdown, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has set up a special cell aimed at protecting its soldiers. Wednesday was a relief for this paramilitary force with a capacity of 3.25 lakh soldiers. Within 24 hours, only three soldiers were found to be infected.

The number of corona infected soldiers in the CRPF reached 161, while one has died. The Headquarters of the force at CGO Complex was also opened on Wednesday. Two soldiers posted at the headquarters had to be sealed as the corona was infected.

In his statement, a senior CRPF official said, "Special cell has been formed in the military for the management of corona infection. It will look into cases of corona infection in all units and structures of the military force. Since the soldiers have been engaged in internal security duty and relief work, they need to be more vigilant.
