New Delhi: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has begun to upgrade itself. At this time, CRPF has the responsibility of protecting the Gandhi family i.e. Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as well as former PM Manmohan Singh, and his wife. For the protection of all these VIPs, the CRPF is currently using the bulletproof vehicles of the SPG on the recommendation of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Sources have informed that CRPF is going to purchase Level-4 bullet-proof vehicles soon, for which the process has also started. Let me tell you, CRPF is providing VIP security to 58 people at this time, out of which 5 protectors recently came from SPG. For this, 4 battalions of CRPF have been deployed by making centers at 30 important places across the country. A battalion of CRPF consists of seven companies consisting of about 7000 personnel.
