Cyclothan held under ‘Fit India campaign'

A Cyclothan was organised by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare in the capital Bhopal yesterday. It was held under the Fit India campaign, in which large number of boys and girls, sports coaches, officers, employees, police and security guards participated enthusiastically.

The Director-General of Police, Vivek Johri, flagged off the Cyclothan at 7:30 am on the Red Parade Ground. About 15 km from Lal Parade to TT Nagar Stadium, this cyclothan started from Lal Parade Ground, which is through the Kali Mandir, Moti Masjid, Royal Market, Hamidia Hospital, Old Secretariat, Lalghati intersection, V.I.P Road, Kamla Park, Polytechnic Square, Banganga Square, Hotel Palash, Rangmahal Square reached the stadium where it ended. Addressing the inaugural programme, Director General of Police Vivek Johri said that fitness is essential for every person.

 In the programme, Director Sports and Youth Welfare, Pawan Kumar Jain said that Covid 19 period has taught us how to improve our health and keep ourselves fit. Additional Chief Secretary ICP Kesari, Commissioner Urban Administration Nikunj Srivastava, ADG Vijay Kataria, ADG DC Sagar, Commandant Tarun Nayak, CEO Smart City Aditya Singh, DIG Irshad Vali and other officials, sports coaches and sportspersons were present on the occasion.
